What about the abstract cost?

The field type in the Protobuf is lost, and it is considered a payload. The handler has different self-processing types, which is consistent with HTTP abstraction.

Is it true that such an abstraction layer has just come up with now? If you have a deeper understanding of computer science, you will find that some past ideas shine brilliantly in new scenarios.
